Holiday Gift Guide for Foodies

A Holiday Gift Guide for Foodies from Lulu the Baker

Today’s gift guide was another fun one to put together: a holiday gift guide for foodies. I’m crazy about food, and I would love finding any of these items under the tree on Christmas morning. Wink wink, family.

  1. Finding Homes Farms Maple Syrup: I love the packaging of this cute, small-batch maple syrup made in Hudson Valley, NY. And the maple syrup is insanely delicious! We handed little sample bottles of this out at The Hello Sessions in October, and I was the lucky one who got to take home the extras. Mmmmmmm!
  2. Quin Candies: Quin makes handmade, hand-cut, hand-packaged modern candies like gumdrops, caramels, lollipops, and more. They are so fabulous, and would make great hostess gifts or stocking stuffers. Or you can skip the middle man and give yourself some!
  3. Jacobsen Sea Salt: A few years ago, when my husband and I were part of a dreamy dinner club that met every month, we hosted a dinner where every ingredient had to be locally sourced. We kept things pretty simple, and the results were delicious. But one ingredient that gave us some trouble was salt. We live in Oregon, a coastal state! Locally harvested sea salt should have been easier to find, and now, thanks to Jacobsen Sea Salt, it is! They have a really lovely, creative selection of finishing salts and other yummy goods made with their sea salt harvested from just off the Oregon coast.
  4. Food Gift Love: The lovely Maggie Battista has written the most beautiful book, a must-have for foodies who love a good hostess gift. The photography and design are stunning, and the recipes are sublime.
  5. California Olive Ranch Olive Oil: I really love good olive oil, and am so happy that it’s getting easier to find. I love California Olive Ranch’s oils. They are beautifully packaged and have the most wonderful, fresh flavors. A single bottle would make a nice gift, and a whole set would be spectacular.
  6. Hedley & Bennett Apron: What’s a foodie without a killer apron? Hedley & Bennett makes a whole line of really lovely, well made, colorful aprons for kitchen professionals and food enthusiasts. My favorites even have a darling calico lining. They manage (very successfully) to combine fashion and function.
  7. We Cook Kits: This sweet passion project from Baby Boy Bakery provides subscribers with a monthly baking adventure for families. They provide the recipes, printed on beautifully designed recipe cards, plus the special tools needed to make the month’s recipe. You can subscribe for an entire year or just 1 month, so it makes a perfect gift for your favorite foodies, big and little.

Any foodies on your list this year, and have you found the perfect gift for them yet?
