Everyone who knows me knows that I’ll take any excuse to throw a party! And what better excuse than the imminent arrival of a sweet baby girl. My friend Annie (who, as it turns out, I throw a lot of parties for), is expecting a little one before the end of June…and her twins aren’t quite 18 months old. I can’t think of anyone more deserving of a party in her honor than the soon-to-be-mother-of-three!
Since we live in the cool and misty Pacific Northwest, we are just hitting the high point of strawberry season. We decided to take advantage of the local berry bounty and build our shower around luscious strawberry reds, pinks and vibrant greens, accented with the pale wood of bushel baskets. And since the mom-to-be already has all the baby gear she needs, we took the focus off of presents and games, and spent a casual afternoon, eating, chatting, and celebrating!
What a cute party, I love the way you used the strawberry theme throughout!
Thanks Tracey. The food was the best part. So many strawberries!
fantastic photos.. and party theme….I live in the NW too…can you come to my house and throw a party?!!
Lol Candice! I’ll let you know when I take my show on the road. š
There is nothing like sweet WA state June bearing strawberries, any other strawberry pales in comparison. My mouth is watering just thinking about them.
We still haven’t gone strawberry picking yet this year! My kids are dying to go and keep pestering me to put it on the calendar!
I love the idea of a strawberry party! You did great with the decorations. I loved the little signs in the pots. Thanks for sharing your lovely photos. And congrats to Annie. -Kristy V.
Thanks Kristy. Miss you!
