Sometimes, as crazy as it sounds, I want a dessert that is a little bit healthy. After full weekends of holiday feasting, I’m not willing to skip dessert entirely, but I do want to eat a little lighter. So how does a girl reconcile healthy eating with all of the holiday goodness out there? Butterscotch Apple Dip is the answer! With just four ingredients and @^%#& calories, it is sweet, easy, and delicious. OK, so it probably isn’t that healthy, but you dip apples in it, so that counts for something, right?!
Aunt Shelly’s Butterscotch Apple Dip
from my dear Aunt Shelly
1 can sweetened condensed milk
1 cup butterscotch chips
1 teaspoon white vinegar
1 teaspoon cinnamon
Heat sweetened condensed milk and butterscotch chips in a small saucepan over low heat, stirring often, until chips are melted and everything is well combined. Remove from heat. Add vinegar and cinnamon and stir. Serve warm with sliced granny smith apples.
The apples do count as healthy, at least that what I tell myself every time I have a piece of apple cake. The dip looks delicious.
