I’m a big fan of anything citrus flavored, whether it tastes like lemon, lime, orange, or grapefruit. I’m an even bigger fan of things that are creamy and sweet and citrus flavored, so this decadent, homemade lime sherbet scores major points with me. The tartness of the limes is beautifully balanced by the sweetness of the sugar and richness of the cream in the recipe. It tastes like a fresh lime milkshake, or a creamy frozen limeade—which both sound amazing, right? I think lime sherbet is probably the most popular sherbet flavor out there (I know it’s the most popular one in my family), and this homemade version is so much better than any store-bought kind I’ve ever had. Dust off your ice cream maker, grab the recipe from my latest post for Julep, and mix up a batch this week!
