One of the Thanksgiving food traditions in my husband’s family is a veggie platter or relish tray. When we’re divvying up food assignments, someone always volunteers to put together a platter of veggies and dip, pickles, olives, cheeses, and other favorite foods for snacking. This year, I’m taking the snack tray up a notch with this Thanksgiving-themed turkey charcuterie board!

Since we won’t be getting together with the extended family for Thanksgiving dinner this year, I picked up all of my little family’s favorite snacks at our local Albertsons store. I grabbed some fancy crackers, a grab-and-go sliced salami tray from the deli, cheddar and mozzarella sticks, almonds, dried apricots, baby carrots, and grapes.

Start by grabbing a large serving tray, baking sheet, or cutting board on which to assemble your turkey. I started with half a red bell pepper for the turkey’s head, but a mini sweet pepper or half a green or red pear would also work well. A little piece of carrot cut into a triangle makes a great beak, and two chocolate sprinkles make hilariously perfect, tiny eyes.

After the head is in place, start arranging your snacks in rows. I went with horizontal rows that bent around the turkey’s face, but you could also arrange your snacks in more vertical rows that radiate outward. How your turkey charcuterie board looks is up to you!

I also stuck with a fairly autumnal color scheme, but you could do an entire tray of colorful veggies or add in whatever your family’s go-to snacks are. Pickles, olives, deviled eggs, more cheeses, dips, fresh or dried fruits, more deli meats—you get to choose!

I shopped at my local Albertsons location, but you can also find your favorite snacks at any Albertsons Company family of stores, including Safeway, ACME Markets, Jewel-Osco, Randalls, Shaw’s Supermarket, Star Market, Tom Thumb, and Vons.

They have lots of ready-to-go deli, fruit, and veggie trays that make it easy to put together your own turkey charcuterie board. They offer beautiful floral arrangements and seasonal centerpieces in the floral department, pre-made sides you can just heat up and serve, and even a full turkey, ham, or prime rib dinner you can order from the deli department.

They have everything you need for an easy and convenient Thanksgiving dinner, so you can spend less time preparing and more time enjoying the holidays! Albertsons also offers Grocery Delivery and DriveUp & Go™ for even more convenient ways to shop.
