I’m afraid I got really busy enjoying summer last month, and I never got around to posting my Seasons Tree decorations for June! We had cute tissue paper flowers in May, and I actually made red, white, and blue scalloped paper garland for the 4th of July, but we can’t forget these easy, breezy summer decorations from June. The idea is a really simple one, but it makes a big visual impact: tie long, colorful ribbons onto tree branches. That’s it! I chose summery colors light hot pink, turquoise, and yellow, but you could use any colors or weights of ribbon to suit the occasion: chiffon and lace and pastels for a wedding or bridal shower, shimmery golds for New Years, orange and black for Halloween.
Cut ribbon into lengths of about 36″, and knot each ribbon around a branch. I used the method where you fold the ribbon in half, loop it around a branch, and tuck the free ends through the loop. Super simple, super summery!
Such a cute DIY!
Thanks, Chelsea! Cute and super easy–the best combination!
