Dream House Update: Fall Container Gardens

Fall container gardens are a quick, easy way to get your front porch ready for the season!

Every time I walk outside, I see signs of Fall. The maple trees that line our street are beginning to turn crimson, and the mornings are foggy and cool. But our front porch continues to look summery thanks to the hanging baskets we’ve had up since Mother’s Day and the enormous pots of coleus and sweet potato vines I bought in July. Our porch needs an autumnal makeover—fast! I think the easiest way to make our porch look Fall-ish is to plant some new container gardens. Some golden grasses, a few ornamental cabbages, and maybe a pumpkin or two and we’ll be all set. You can see some of my favorite Fall container gardens on my latest post for BHG’s Style Spotters blog. And for more autumnal inspiration, read one of my favorite posts from last year all about fabulous Fall front porches. [photo from The Graceful Gardener]
